Though you cannot see in this photo, they added an extra closet in the bedroom to house Carly’s vintage clothing collection. There are two other bedrooms on this upper floor.
The bedrooms are graced with headboards that The Vanguard Theory created  with vintage Tori Richard prints. The dreamy framed surf photography on the wall is by She Hit Pause Studios.
The master bedroom occupies a private space on the top floor.
In the master bedroom, a Hästens bed is atop a Mats Broberg & Johan Ridderstråle rug.
The walnut headboard in the master bedroom is also custom.
From the simple, pared-down bedroom, a sliding door reveals the wood-paneled living area, where bright colors and varied textures rule.
The warm material palette extends to Berryman’s bedroom. Like the rest of the apartment, it features work by New York designers, including a custom wood bed by Asher Israelow and a Table Light desk lamp by Lindsey Adelman.
Tracy Beckmann and Ryan Trowbridge spent four years shopping for furnishings, fixtures, and lighting to outfit the guest rooms, sourcing

Italy and France, and many 

mid-century pieces in their 

backyard, aka Palm Springs’s 

renowned vintage shops.
To create more storage and make the small bedroom feel larger, they purchased an Ikea wardrobe with mirrored doors. The clothing rack across from the bed is from HAY.

Sloped ceilings, covered with stained Western red cedar, add warmth to the interior (bottom). “We set out to design using the best of what modernism has to offer, but to try to execute that in a way that is livable and home-like,” says architect Jonathan Feldman. Situated in a built-in cabinet, a folding vanity in the master bedroom remains as it was when the home was built. “We knew that with some work, the house could be brought back to a clean and simple classic modern home,” Tyler says.
A white Alba armoire by Pinch stands next to the brand’s Iona cheval mirror in a second-floor bedroom. The Moroccan rug was found in Paris; the Malm bed from IKEA was a budget buy.

The guest bedrooms feature lighting by Jonathan Adler, including a Horse table lamp in the downstairs unit and an Antwerp pendant upstairs.
The residents sleep beneath Douglas fir beams that they darkened using a mix of Ebony and Moorish Teak wood stain by Zar. In front of a small balcony is an early American farm bench purchased at the Rhinebeck Antique Fair. The Gaser rug is from IKEA.
Rather than clutter the master bedroom with furniture, Frame Design Lab created a system where night stands hang from a wall-mounted headboard.
In the galley-style kitchen, Ann sorts groceries into Akurum cabinets from IKEA. For the sconces, the architects selected generic porcelain sockets, then stylized them with silver-cap bulbs.
Davis used the same material to build furniture, including beds for his master bedroom.
The flooring is distressed oak.
The orange his-and-hers lamps in the bedroom came from Högner's sister's childhood bedroom. "My sister prefers new things," said Högner. "But my dad can't throw anything out.
A vintage wood lamp and turned bowl stands next to the bed. "We wanted to incorporate elements used in residential homes," Hollis says of the eclectic medley of accessories and furnishings in the space. "These would be items that you would collect over time. They don't exactly match, but they all work together—they create a relaxed casual environment while still elevating the interior and amenities to what you expect from a world-class luxury property."

The Series 7600 Multi-Slide Door is Western Window Systems’ most energy efficient design to date.
For the bedroom, the designer selected a bed by Muji and floor lamps by Lightyears.
The bed, bedside tables, and console are all designed by Miguel Marcelino. The Glo-Ball bedside lamps are by Jasper Morrison and the Tolomeo wall lamp is by Michele De Lucchi.

Peter conceived a stepped program for the layout. Placing the rooms at different levels created cavities for storage as well as for furnishings, such as the dining table and benches and the bed in Olia’s studio, which when not in use slide into the space beneath the raised floor in Peter’s office, above.
