Richard Hutten (1967 Zwollerkerspel) graduated at the Academy Industrial Design Eindhoven in 1991. That same year he started his own designstudio, working on a variety of projects such as: furniture-, product-, interior- and exhibition design.He developed his 'No sign of design' and 'Table upon table' concepts. He is one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers; a key exponent of "Droog Design", in which he has been involved since it's inception in 1993. His work is part of the permanent collections of, among others, Centraal Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art Amsterdam, Vitra Museum Weil am Rhein, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.Philippe Starck used some of Huttens designs for the interiors of the Delano Hotel Miami and the Mondrian Hotel Los Angeles. His clients include Hidden, Harvink, DMD, Planet, Sawaya & Moroni , REEEL, E&Y Tokyo, IDÉE Tokyo, Englender UK, S.M.A.K. Richard Neutra (1892-1970) was one of the giants of 20th-century architecture. His importance to the modernist movement as a whole as well as to the rise of modernism in California cannot be overstated. Neutra was born in Austria where he studied under Adolf Loos and worked with Erich Mendelsohn. He came to the U.S. in 1923. He worked with Frank Lloyd Wright, then took up residence with his friend RM Schindler. They collaborated on several projects but eventually had a falling out over how to credit a certain work. Neutra was on the cover of Time magazine in 1949—a rarity for an architect. His most famous buildings include: the Lovell House and the VDL Residence, both in Los Angeles (the latter where he and his family lived), and the Kaufmann Desert House in Palm Springs, among others. In addition to training architects who would go on to prominence like Gregory Ain and Raphael Soriano, Neutra’s work helped spur the rise of photographer Julius Shulman. Shulman photographed many Neutra projects, each reinforcing the other’s reputation as the expert maker and chronicler of Californian modernism.

Architect Richard Meier is well known and respected around the world for his architecture and designs. He has been awarded major commissions in the United States and Europe including courthouses, city halls, museums, corporate headquarters, housing, and private residences. In 1984, he was awarded the Pritzker Prize for Architecture and in 1997 he received the AIA Gold Medal. Educated at Cornell, Meier figures prominently in the canon of Modernism and was named along with Peter Eisenman, Michael Graves, Charles Gwathmey, and John Hejduk in "The New York Five"—a group of young architects who continued the high modernist principles of Le Corbusier.

Richard Sapper was born in 1932. After pursuing courses in philosophy, anatomy, and engineering, he graduated with a business degree from the University of Munich. Sapper’s main interest in his design work has centered on technically complex problems. He has developed and designed a wide variety of products, ranging from ships and cars, to computers and electronics, and furniture and kitchen appliances. His clients include Alessi, Artemide, B&B Italia, Brionvega, FIAT, Heuer, Kartell, Knoll, IBM, Lenovo, Lorenz Milano, Magis, Molteni, Pirelli and many others.
