A Yankee Barn starts with the vision of its homeowner. Working with our design team, homeowners create a unique Yankee Barn to fit their lifestyle and property. Each Yankee Barn is then built from the finest materials one at a time. We craft the post and beam from strong, kiln-dried doug fir timbers, and construct the wood framed True Wall, and True Roof panels, along with specialty millwork, in the protected and controlled environment of our prefab workshop. Omer Arbel graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture in 2000, and, after apprenticeships with Enric Miralles Benedetta Tagliabue Arquitectes Associates, Patkau Architects, and Busby + Associates Architects, founded OAO in 2005. He is the recipient of various high profile awards including the Ron Thom award for Early Design Achievement and a D&AD Yellow Pencil Yearbook entry. He has served on numerous judging and advisory panels and has given lectures and tutorials at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and at the School of Constructed Environments at Parsons.

MontesBuild was founded in 2001 by New York City architect Nicholas Moons as a collaborative design/build practice. The firm designs to achive a high level of craft, sustainability, and constructability. Nicholas Moons graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1998 with a Bachelors of Architecture and a minor in Architecture History. Nick is a NYS licensed Architect, a member of the AIA, and a NYC licensed General Contractor.

Rudolph Schindler was one of the first wave of modern architects to make their names in America. Born in Vienna, Schindler studied with architectural luminaries Adolf Loos and Otto Wagner, and in the early 1910s came under the sway of Frank Lloyd Wright. He came to the US to work under Wright, which he did in 1918. Wright sent him to Los Angeles to oversee work on his iconic Hollyhock House. He stayed in the city, and in 1922 constructed one of the foundations of Californian modernism, the Kings Road House in West Hollywood. He lived there with his wife and another couple (Richard and Dionne Neutra would later live there with him), making use of many outdoor rooms, a pair of sleeping porches and large studios for each resident. He was deeply committed to the interaction of indoor and outdoor space, a pursuit which defined much of his career. All told he designed some 400 projects, many of which were, and still are, in Southern California, 150 of which were completed in his lifetime.

Creede America is nestled on a mesa adjacent to the beautiful mountain town of Creede, Colorado. The community is a uniquely developed neighborhood of reasonably sized, newly constructed homes located in a spectacular setting. Each home in Creede America is designed to be unique, yet still complement the Western style found throughout the community. Gaurav Nanda is a sculptor, designer, and entrepreneur. Growing up in Michigan, he found himself building, bending, and joining materials to give them new purpose. His early creative impulses included constructing human sculptures from wire, printing t-shirts using his homemade screen-printing machine, and throwing clay pots with vintage-modern composition. After college, Gaurav worked as a sculptor in automobile design. The practice taught him the foundations of shape and line quality. He reveled in the work but entrepreneurship was in his blood. riven by his passions for making functional yet sculptural objects, Gaurav pursued his vision for a new brand, which he called Bend.

Bild Design is an assembly of independent architects, designers and fabricators—each with their own portfolio of experience and talent—that come together to collaborate on built form. Bild projects are a combination of ideas and explorations that focus on ground: how form receives and reacts to its context and surrounds; space: ways to configure and construct layered spatial experiences; and assembly: means and methods for joining various parts. Recent Bild work includes a variety of new construction and renovation, residential and commercial projects that often investigate an approach towards regional remediation. This work represents Pre-Hurricane Katrina concerns related to domestic vertical growth, the relationship of the occupant to the ground, and post-storm responses to extended contextual relationships with the water. To varying degree, each project is influenced by and aims to address the needs of a culture struggling with issues of decay, economic shortage, and preservation within a framework of the issues of salvage, integration and progress.
