By the middle of the 20th century, the name Herman Miller had become synonymous with “modern” furniture. Working with legendary designers George Nelson and Charles and Ray Eames, the company produced pieces that would become classics of industrial design. @20x200
    As we see it, there are a lot of people out there who want to sell their art and a lot of people who'd like to buy it. They just have a hard time finding each other. The internet is the perfect place to bring those people together, and we're exactly the right people to make it happen. We're passionate about art and the internet at 20x200. We're really excited about creating a place where almost any art lover can be an art collector. We introduce at least two new editions a week: one photo and one work on paper. Most are available in three or four sizes. When we first launched, the smallest size was reprinted in the largest batch — an edition of 200 — and sold at the lowest price — $20. Hence the name 20x200. (We say it: "twenty by two-hundred." 200x20 just didn't sound as good.) We also offer 11"x14" editions of 500 for $50, 16"x20" editions of 20 for $200, 20"x24" editions of 50 for $500, 24"x30" editions of 10 for $1,000 and 30"x40" editions of 2 for $2,000. We may occasionally offer editions at other sizes and price points. Usually, the original artwork is also available so let us know if you want the one-and-only! Every single print is delivered with a numbered certificate of authenticity that is signed by the artist, the artist's bio and statement, and instructions for caring for your print.
  • Eames Office
    @eamesoffice
    The Eames Office is dedicated to communicating, preserving and extending the work of Charles and Ray Eames. They feel that all three of those dimensions are important to keeping the office useful and vital, and that all of Charles and Ray’s work was the result of a way of looking at the world—a design philosophy and process that is worth sharing in many different dimensions. They do create new works as well, believing that creating wholly new works is as consistent with that philosophy as restoring and distributing classic ones.

  • Cassion Castle Architects
    @cassion_castle_architects
    Cassion Castle Architects' practice philosophy is to employ surprise, ingenuity, realism, humour, and abstraction, to create architecture which is both user-friendly and conceptually rigorous. They believe in user-centered design, and in responding to the site, and their projects are also driven by issues of sustainability. Cassion Castle began his training as an architect at Cambridge University, before completing a Masters degree at the Royal College Of Art. He worked for various architectural offices including Florian Beigel's ARU before forming Turner Castle in 2000. He subsequently reformed his practice as Cassion Castle Architects in 2006. A recently completed project is the Twofold House: a bespoke home and studio for two industrial designers in East London. This building has been short-listed at the RIBA London Awards 2009 for Best Residential Project and at the Grand Designs Awards 2009 for Best New-Build.

    @castle

Prior to CASTLE, Rachel was joint founder of London-based branding and design agency, The Nest, and before this, produced catalogues for Conran Shops throughout Europe.
