Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Vintage 1940s Ranch House Lists For $3.85M
Perched high in the Franklin Hills between Los Feliz and Silver Lake, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's vintage, well-maintained ranch-style home recently hit the market. Arthur Hawes originally designed the home, and "high society" architect Paul Williams remodeled it in 1949 with "hints of his signature Hollywood Regency style." As reported by Variety, Gordon-Levitt purchased the property in early 2015 for $3,250,000, and now he's letting it go for $3,850,000.
The four-bedroom, four-bath, 3,771-square-foot home boasts a spacious great room with a vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling. The home also features two fireplaces, a vintage wet bar, a wood-paneled office, a formal dining room, a vintage kitchen, a breakfast room, a sewing room, and much more. The single-story ranch-style home has a U-shaped layout which provides most of the rooms with natural light and access to the outdoors—there is also an expansive lawn, a large central courtyard, and a swimming pool.
