Founded by artist Marcia Stuermer, Stuermer Studios offers functional custom resin work for the built environment and resin-based artwork as well as a spectrum of functional product designs using recycled/upcycled resin from our own closed-loop production process. Since its founding in 1998, Panelite has gained international recognition in the design field for innovative material solutions. The company's first product, a translucent honeycomb panel, was developed by founders Emmanuelle Bourlier and Chridtian Mitman—both trained as architects—to solve an architectural challenge in a design project. Panelite has since evolved a range of proprietary products and is dedicated to the continued development of innovative, sustainable, and inspiring materials for architecture and design. Panelite materials have won awards recognizing their innovation as well as their material—and energy—efficiency and have been widely published and exhibited, including at the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum's National Design Triennial 2006.
