    The geo market has a lot of geode decor pieces which you can choose from. The most coveted geode furniture item is the geode table. Due to the irregular shape of the rocks, they are mostly used to make asymmetrical tables, though we have incorporated some unique table designs. There is no better way to display such a precious gem than on a table. Stone accent tables center any room when positioned to be the center of attraction. https://michalandcompany.com/geode-furniture/

  • Ronel Jordaan
    @ronel_jordaan
    In 2005, Ronel Jordaan, having been a textile designer for 26 years, began researching the possibilities of using felt as a creative medium. Entirely selftaught and following her own creative instincts, she began to turn fine gossamer thread into robust felted forms. By patiently rubbing and coaxing threads of pure wool into shapes in nature that inspire her, she found her direction and started a small home industry. Next she trained a handful of women to help her. Recognized for their originality and design uniqueness, her creations found an immediate market. Within a year she sought bigger premises and a year after that she needed to expand further. She has applied the felting process to create a panoply of textures and shapes, of leaves and flowers, webs, thorns, hides and bark. The most recognizable of all her products are her pebbles and rocks. Her range is continually expanding, from accessories, scarves, shawls and wraps to household objet, carpets, lamps, and throws (See Product Range). Registering her own trademark, the Ronel Jordaan™ label is today found across the western world, from Canada, to the US, London, Paris, through Germany, the Netherlands and Italy.

    The summer I purchased this gorgeous wooded lot, my niece and I camped out here so I could seek inspiration for the design of a house to build on it. One afternoon, the man who sold me the property gave us a turkey caller he had made. We decided to have an impromptu campfire sing along with this small device for accompaniment. In seconds, we had cause to pause as we heard real turkeys excitedly gobbling their way up the hill to meet us. "What magic is this?" we city girls wondered. But we would soon come to discover that it was perfectly normal life in this enchanted, happy wood. All summer, we listened to great horned owls hoot by night, and we watched ravens and hawks battle for the sky by day. We learned that deer are fans of acoustic guitar and that delicious wild wine berries grow in the sunny patch up by the road. We explored each tiny cave and outcropping. We cracked jokes while we cleared trails and skipped rocks or hunted for old moonshining relics down by the stream. In short, we really lived. I knew then that the home I designed would have to keep me connected to the magical spirit of the nature all around me. (Bug-free and with infinite hot water, of course!) This is where my imagination led me. My hope is that it may provide a constant source of wonder, inspiration, and renewal for all those who dwell here. Happily ever after, Vanessa.

  • Loop
    @loop
    The structure of the built environment and the curve of the natural world. The hum of urban life and the melody of rural living. Patterns of form, shape and texture revealed and reveled in. Loop connects a love of modern design with an appreciation for nature. By creating useful art in a way that respects our planet’s resources, Loop acknowledges the connection between people and the planet. Our natural world provides endless inspiration but has finite resources; we enjoy its diversity and we love giving back. This is our loop, our responsibility, our pleasure. The true beginning of this tale is at a New England rivers’ edge when a young girl named Elissa found the most remarkable thing - a polliwog nest among the pulpy oak leaves and mossy rocks where water greeted land. She gazed upon this unknown thing - alive, to be sure, she could sense it - and saw inside it a universe. She made a place for this wonder, this image, in her mind. As she grew, it began to inform the way she looked at the world, its surfaces and patterns, its textures and creatures. Imbued with the sensibilities of the Vermont countryside, Elissa sought adventure after high school, working and travelling through Europe before studying Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. After college, she joined the studio of a modern architect (wesley wei) and then went to work for bulthaup designing bauhaus-inspired custom kitchens. Loop was born of Elissa’s desire to unite her working life with her creative life. Seeking balance and flexibility in her day-to-day schedule, starting Loop helped Elissa reconfigure the map of her dreams. Loop is a lens that focuses observation, travel, contemplation, discovery and passion into products that Elissa feels good about sharing - products that lay bare their inspiration from nature while revealing their contribution to caring for it.
