After graduating Eindhoven Design Academy in 1993 she started her own design company, Jongeriuslab, through which she produces her own projects and projects for clients such as Maharam (New York), Royal Tichelaar Makkum (The Netherlands), Vitra (Basel) and IKEA (Sweden). Her work has been shown at museums and galleries such as the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum (New York), MoMA (New York), the Design Museum (London), Galerie KREO (Paris) and Moss gallery (New York).

    Not to be confused with metal guitar god Yngwie Malmsteen, Yngve Ekström (1913–1988) is the cofounder of Swedese, a furniture producer based in, of all places, Sweden. The company hit its stride with Ekström’s 1956 Lamino chair, which became an icon of Nordic design and provided the template for decades of Ikea knockoffs. Ekström served at Swedese for over 40 years until his death in 1988.

    James Irvine (1958-2013) is one of the more prominent English industrial designers working today. Cutting his teeth at the Royal College of Art in London, Irvine began his career working as a consultant for Olivetti in Milan under the direction of Michele de Lucchi and Ettore Sottsass. He opened his private design firm in 1988 but also worked as a partner at Sottsass Associati from 1993 through 1998. His list of clients includes B&B Italia, Thonet, Canon, Foscarini, Magis, and Ikea. His work has crossed a variety of boundaries, and ranges from fax machines to furniture, from lighting to textiles.

The foundation for Hanses design work is toys with form, volume and proportion. Among those who have commissioned work from Hanses are Boda Nova, Ikea, Playsam and Handitech. Hanses has taken part in numerous design exhibitions both national and international and is represented at the Tokyo Toy Museum and Japan Toy Museum, among others. On numerous occasions, he has earned the distinction of Excellent Swedish Design Form.

    Hanna Werning work as an independent designer across disciplines such as; communication design, product design, visual arts and illustration, self-initiated and commissioned work. Since 2004 she is running her own company Spring Street Studio in Stockholm, Sweden. The name comes from her time living in London where she was educated a graphic designer at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. Hanna has a strong fascination for patterns and colours and has been designing prints, wallpapers, textile, porcelain etc for Boråstapeter, Rörstrand, IKEA, Sagaform, Eastpak, Anna Sui and House of Dagmar. She is also the designer and manufacture of her own product AnimalFlowers wallpaper-posters. Previously Hanna has worked at Foundation 33 in London and before that at the Swedish Television and at the Internet agency Moonwalk, both in Stockholm. She has also lectured and set workshops at Beckmas College of Design, Forsbergs Skola and Nationalmuseum in Sweden.

    Todd Selby is a portrait, interiors, journalist and fashion photographer and illustrator. His project The Selby offers an insider’s view of creative individuals in their personal spaces with an artist’s eye for detail. The Selby began in June 2008 as a website, theselby.com, where Todd posted photo shoots he did of his friends in their homes. Requests quickly began coming in daily from viewers all over the world who wanted their homes to be featured on the site. The Selby’s website became so influential — with up to 100,000 unique visitors daily—that within months, top companies from around the world began asking to collaborate. These joint projects have included ad campaigns and collaborations with Louis Vuitton, FENDI, Nike, Microsoft, Hennessy, Habitat, Slowear, Ikea, Heineken and a solo show at colette. Todd also has a monthly home column in the Observer Magazine, a monthly fashion column in Le Monde’s M Magazine and frequently contributes to publications such as Casa Brutus Japan and the New York Times T Magazine. Todd’s first book, The Selby is In Your Place, was released in May 2010 by Abrams. Todd recently launched Edible Selby, in collaboration with NYTimes T Magazine in which he photographs the most creative and interesting people in food around the world. Before working on this project full time Todd worked as a translator and Tijuana tour guide to the International Brotherhood of Machinists, a researcher into the California strawberry industry, a Costa Rican cartographer, a consultant on political corruption to a Mexican Senator, an art director at a venture capital firm, an exotic flower wholesaler, a Japanese clothing designer, and a vermicomposting entrepreneur. Todd currently lives in New York City. His pastimes include going to the airport, eating four square meals a day, breaking his computers, and working on his tan.

Thanks to residing in different countries and experiencing multicultural environments during my education and afterwards I believe that the communication is the key for all kinds of interaction between people, nature and the universe. Considering architecture as a communication platfrom with various interpretations, I always intend to add value to every task by creating meaningful, sincere and real encounters. My career started with architecture and interior design offices and continued with global companies such as IKEA and Samsung, and my position at The Building Information Center (YEM) leaded me to have intensive experience on communication and event management in local and international architecture, culture and design scene. Organizing events focusing on architecture, urbanism and education such as EKODesign, The Housing Conference, workshops, competitions at YEM which acted like a hub for 50 years, I had chance to collaborate with architects, designers, developers, constuctors, NGOs, academicians and investors from all over the world. Regarding to my experience and network I had chance to work in local leading ceramic tile producer companies such as Seranit Group and Kale Seramik, as communication and business development manager with main responsibilities consisting of optimizing interaction between sales and marketing activites and developing an efficient business network including architecture and design firms, governmental institutions and universities. Currently I give consultancy to design offices and manufacturer companies on marketing, communication and business development. I am writing in mimarizm.com and yapi.com.tr -two oldest digital channel focusing on building sector and I am in charge of event and communication management within Yapi Medya Communication and PNR.istanbul which is an international network and research platfrom. I am a positive, energetic and analytic team player and I can speak Italian, Arabic, Turkish. I believe that open communication, awareness and empathy is essentials for any kind of relations and business. And regarding to raising/studying/working in multicultural environments, my professional, architectural, social and technical-knowledge, I am open for any proposals to get inspired, to think and create together for better.
