Dave Weinstein is a freelance writer who penned the "Modern Real Estate 101" article that appeared in the October 2009 issue. He spends his spare time walking his spaniel through architecturally interesting neighborhoods in the San Francisco Bay Area and is an active preservationist, most notably for his hometown's art deco jewel, the Cerrito Theater.

Jacques Adnet was a French architect and Art Deco Modernsit designer, who became an icon of French Modernism. He studied at the Municipal School of Design in Auxerre and the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs before establishing the company JJ Adnet with his twin brother Jean. He designed furniture, mirrors, apartments, and office spaces, including work for ta former President of France.

Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann was a renowned French product and interior designer. He was known for epitomizing the French Art Deco style of the 1920s. In 1919, Ruhlmann founded, along with Pierre Laurent, the company Ruhlmann et Laurent, which specialized in interior design and producing luxury products for the home, including furniture, lighting, wallpaper, and accessories. Ruhlmann utilized precious and exotic woods and materials in his designs. The New York Times referred to Ruhlmann as “Art Deco’s greatest artist” in 2009.

We are the creators of the popular brand of decorative floor and table top fans known as DECO BREEZE.

Our Children's Gorilla was founded in 2002 to design and produce home accessories ,children's deco and toys.

Architecture (focus on Modern, Streamline Moderne, Art Deco), furniture design are my side passions outside work. My wife and I commute between Rio de Janeiro and Miami, picking up a unique take on modern tropical design along the way.
