• Arne Jacobsen
    @arnejacobsen
    Arne Jacobsen was born in 1902 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and became one of the country’s preeminent architects and designers in the mid-20th century. Though his early work was primarily private residents, he went on to design the SAS Royal Hotel—one of the city’s only skyscrapers—and the Danish National Bank, renowned for its hanging staircase in its lobby. Despite his public commissions, Jacobsen’s touch remained in the private realm as well, with lighting fixture designs for Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen and furniture for Fritz Hansen. This includes his iconic Ant and Series 7 chairs made out of molded plywood, as well as the Swan and Egg chairs that were originally designed for the lobby of the SAS Royal Hotel.

    I specialize in teaming up with reputable Galleries, Art Consultants, Interior Designers, and Architects to create and sell unique art or specialty decor for curated spaces. Commissions are always welcomed. In addition, I offer residential, commercial grade fabrics and wallpaper. Fabrics are sold through 'WeaveUp Fabrics' USA, 'Valley Forge Fabrics' USA, 'Materialized' -Australia, New Zealand the Pacific Islands. Wallpaper is sold Internationally through 'Koroseal.' Printed works are available on paper, canvas and alternative substrates such as metal and wood. For something outside the box, my patterns are printed on scarves, blouses and dresses. 'Tumbling underneath waves amidst effervescent aqua tones, my compositions are fresh and original expressions of the colors and patterns of water in motion. I use my imagination to distil the kinetic essence of something never at rest. Irregular shapes of green and blue cover the canvas, reminiscent of the brilliant marine hues that convey water in 19th century Japanese woodblock prints. Close inspection reveals rough, textured surfaces from the thick application of media on linen, including oil, acrylic and oil pastel, reiterating the earthly and organic nature of my subject.' • Lundberg Design
    @lundbergdesign
    Lundberg Design is a San Francisco-based twenty person architectural firm founded by Olle Lundberg in 1987 that does work for private and commercial clients throughout the United States. We specialize in high-end modern design, with no particular emphasis on any particular building type. While the core of our practice is architectural, we remain committed to providing design at many levels and are often involved in product, landscape, graphic, and sculpture design. Our signature style tends to be characterized by sculptural form, simply and elegantly executed, with a firm belief in the importance of the carefully thought out detail. We also have our own dedicated 4,000 sq. ft. metal fabrication facility for custom design work and experimentation. All of the design work is centered on the qualities of materials – how they can be plied, bent and cut to produce a visual and tactile result. We are a firm that loves the physical qualities of the objects we create. We are located in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, in a 1933 mattress factory building. It is a perfect building for the kind of firm we are – raw concrete walls and exposed timber trusses, with high volumes and enough square footage to house our architectural practice, fabrication shop, and even a work-week apartment for Olle. The practice has always been very diverse – we have designed homes, restaurants, wineries, corporate headquarters, distilleries, hotels, apartment buildings, bars, lobbies, and even San Francisco’s bus shelters. We describe our style as “nature-inspired modernism,” and we strive for elegant, simple solutions in our work. We like materials with substance – wood, stone, steel; materials with heft and texture – really the opposite of veneer. For us the making of architecture is a collaborative act; between ourselves and especially with our clients – while we aim for poetry we also pride ourselves on making buildings that work very, very well.

  • Elvan Arolat
    @elvanarolatfredrick
    Ms. Arolat comes from a family of architects. Born in Turkey, Ms. Arolat’s mother, father and brother, Emre Arolat are accomplished architects. Her greatest inspiration is her mother Saziment Sayilgan Arolat, who is a pioneer for women in architecture in Turkey. By entering the field of interior design, Ms. Arolat built upon her exposure and experience to the disciplines that comprise the work of an architect — engineering, physics, geometry, drawing – and took them to an even more artistic plane. Her degree in hotel and restaurant management provided her with a solid and practical grounding in business and hospitality. She went on to study interior design at the Parsons New School for Design in Paris and New York, where she further honed her skills in the human and artistic aspects of interior design, as well as the technical tools needed to transform a concept into a reality. Ms. Arolat has worked on a wide range of residential projects, from pieds–à–terre in Manhattan and private villas in Turkey to every space and room in several luxury hotels. Leveraging her background in restaurant and hotel management, Ms. Arolat has also created the interiors for several restaurants in New York and Istanbul. She has completed designs for multiple world-class hotels. These projects included full hotel interiors,: the lobby and reception areas, as well as hotel bars and restaurants, spas and saunas, outdoor spaces and pools, and every detail inside individual guest rooms. She also designed the interface between the hotel lobby and a premium retail concourse to create a seamless experience for hotel guests and shoppers alike. Two of her most recent projects are the spectacular Hilton Museum Hotel in Antioch, Turkey, the St. Regis Hotel in Maçka, Istanbul, and the Palmarina Bungalows in Yalikavak-Bodrum, Turkey. Ms. Arolat’s influences come from countless sources. Walks through New York City. Museum visits with her daughter. Dinner discussions with her brother and father. Nature around the world, sunsets, water, forests. Color. And people, whomever she encounters, from lifelong friends to strangers in the city streets.

    We create moving and meaningful experiences in architecture. We love graceful, uncomplicated design that just feels right, works right, looks great-now and in 50 years- from a piece of furniture, to a room, to a house, to a city. Our architecture uses materials in compelling, inventive ways that are practical and transcendent. We take the particular constraints and limitations of each project to generate opportunities to create great architecture. We bring together our knowledge of established and new building practices, intense analysis, and systematic compilation of project benchmark data, to bring projects to life- from napkin sketch to move-in. In 2004, Carlos M. Rodríguez Infanzón founded rodríguez studio to focus on projects in which his clients' perspectives and lifestyles are celebrated by design. Collaboration and interaction are central themes in the studio: the collaboration between client and architect; and the interaction of materials, site, and the experience created. Prior to founding rodríguez studio, Mr. Rodriguez worked at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates as a project designer and design team leader for institutional and corporate buildings. Prior to that he worked at Gensler, designing lobby and interior renovations, corporate interiors, and master planning projects. His work with rodríguez studio includes residential projects and office interiors in New York City and Puerto Rico of varying budgets and complexity. He has been an adjunct professor at the New York Institute of Technology School of Architecture, a guest critic at Pratt Institute, and a guest lecturer at Cornell University. Mr. Rodríguez’s work is often featured in print and online. Carlos M. Rodríguez Infanzón earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the College of Architecture Art and Planning at Cornell University.
