Perched above the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, trailblazing architect Richard Neutra’s Lovell Health House was completed in 1929 as one of his earliest solo projects in the city. A precursor to the Kaufmann House, the residence was built for physician and naturopath Philip Lovell and his family; their health-conscious lifestyle helped inform the design. The home would put Neutra on the architectural map. Today, the Lovell Health House is still a private home, but now holds public tours led by one of the current residents.
