Leanne Ford's Vintage Echo Park Cabin Hits the Market at $995K

This 1906 cabin, rich with Hollywood history, was recently restored by HGTV star Leanne Ford—and now the cozy bungalow is up for grabs.

Set on an 8,433-square-foot lot, it's hard to believe that this rustic cottage is located in the middle of Los Angeles. Rumored to be one of the first homes built in Echo Park, this two-bedroom, one-bath cabin on the edge of Elysian Park was once owned by silent-film star Clara Kimball Young.

The property has recently been restored by designer and HGTV star Leanne Ford, the current homeowner. Ford used a varied material palette, mixing rustic stone floors with white wood walls, creating a cozy indoor/outdoor living space that is full of depth and texture. Thoughtful details such as the addition of french doors in the master bedroom that open to a lovely patio and the Malm fireplace inserted into the original stone inlay hearth contribute to the home's bohemian sense of style.

The cabin's charming front porch makes it hard to believe the property is located in the heart of Los Angeles.

The cozy living room has a modern bohemian sense of style but is still firmly anchored to the  home's past through the stone inlay hearth.
