When it comes to selecting outdoor furniture, it’s often a trade-off between comfort and durability—with the latter frequently winning out. Given the threats of pounding sun and spilled wine, it’s a reasonable choice, but we teamed up with Chicory to create a better solution: a modular outdoor collection that’s sustainable, resilient, and designed with comfort at the core.

The seat cushions are packed with low-density, high-resilience foam with a synthetic down comfort topper, while the back and accent pillows are filled with 100-percent recycled synthetic down made from hundreds of plastic bottles. In fact, two hundred recycled bottles go into making just one three-seater sofa.

"Comfort was one of the core design principles we wanted the consumer to not only feel, but also see upon first glance," says Parsa. "The thickness and height of the seat cushion alone evokes a sense of comfort."
