  • Coyuchi
    @coyuchi
    Welcome, Coyuchi was founded 20 years ago in Point Reyes Station, a small, rustic town on the Northern California coast. There, surrounded by ocean and forest, beach and bluff, we created a line of home textiles rooted in nature. Our signature bedding, made from 100 percent certified organic cotton, soon earned a loyal following among people who nurture a connection to the natural world in their lives and in their homes. Organic cotton bedding, bath linens and baby items are still at the heart of our collection, and we've added linen, cashmere and other pure, natural fibers as well. Everything we create is designed to comfort and rejuvenate - body, mind and spirit - to help you turn your home into a sanctuary.

  • Pigeon Toe Ceramics
    @pigeon_toe_ceramics
    You know when you visit your local vintage shoppe hoping for that rare, once-in-a-lifetime find that you spend a lifetime searching for? Or perhaps when you take your first trip overseas, staring out of the airplane window seat at the vast ocean below you. Or your first boy/girl dance? That’s Pigeon Toe. Founded in Portland, Oregon in 2009, Pigeon Toe Ceramics is the brainchild of fine artist and designer Lisa Jones. With a flair for modern, Scandinavian design and a knack for the craft, Lisa and her team lovingly mold each vessel, basin and bowl with delicate strength. Playful and charming, Pigeon Toe Ceramics redefine the rustic chic aesthetic with casual irreverence. Lisa’s products transcend trends, leaving behind an heirloom that’s hardly old-fashioned. Polished and refined, yet naturally imperfect, Pigeon Toe Ceramics is inspired by a new age of homegrown, depression-era aesthetics. Clean and tactile, white and pure.
  • Henry Hill
    @henryhill
    Though architect Henry Hill (1913-1984) was born in England, he grew up in Berkeley, California, and made his lasting architectural mark in the Bay Area. The San Francisco Chronicle has described his aesthetic as "International Style meets California Redwood," and this emphasis on the fusion of European modernism and a reverence for the rustic landscape of Northern California is right on the money--an apt description of the woodsy brand of modernism that has come to be known as the Second Bay Tradition. He studied at UC Berkeley, and then at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, then went to work for John Elkin Dinwiddie. By the late 40s Hill was working on his own, after a stint with Eric Mendelsohn. Over the course of his career he designed as many as 500 houses around the Bay Area as well as stores, commercial buildings and others.

  • Moving Mountains
    @movingmountains
    Syrette Lew grew up in Hawaii and ended up on another island 5,000 miles away. With an industrial design degree, Lew moved to New York, where she spent years designing furniture for West Elm. In 2012, she began making jewelry and leather bags under the name Moving Mountains. A relationship milestone changed the purview of the studio. “I was sick of all the rustic, reclaimed wood in Brooklyn, so when my boyfriend moved in, I decided to make pieces that we’d actually want to live with,” she says. Her designs maintain a plainness that’s still emotionally resonant—the exaggerated proportions of a Windsor lounge chair imbue a playful sensibility; the Confetti credenza simplifies a flashy form while drawing attention from children and octogenarian alike. Last year, Lew’s first collection received the Editor’s Award for Craftsmanship at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York; in 2015, she’ll be exhibiting in the new downtown gallery Colony.

His academic pursuits led him to the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, graduating with high distinction in 1977—a notable start to an impactful journey. Presently, he stands at the forefront of Mercy Veterinary Service in Baldwin, WI, a low-cost clinic he established to ensure comprehensive veterinary care is within reach for all pet owners.
