Eric grew up on the east end of Long Island. Beachfront homes have always been an inspiration to him, appreciating all the variety of styles along the south shore. He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2006 at Old Westbury, New York. Since then he has worked at notable east end design and architectural firms. His interest in the ecology of the east end and methods to improve sustainability in building are featured on many of his projects. On becoming licensed he opened Peterson Architectural Works which focuses on designing homes that reflect his love for the east end.

Alistair has been involved in the development of a number of projects in Australia including The Parks by the Links in Port Douglas (Renamed Port Pacific Estate), Cardinia Estate Kurranda Queensland – and owned and operated two hotels, one a 33-room beachfront bungalow hotel in Far North Queensland (Yorkeys Beach Bungalows) and the other, a 44-room downtown Sydney hotel, The Barclay Hotel Sydney.

Before obsessing over renovating a beach-front Ray Kappe house, as chronicled in her Backstory series for Dwell.com, Kristopher Dukes blogged about fashion she was wanting, wearing, and hating on KristopherDukes.com, and fought online crime on FasterPCCleanClean.com. After being named a top 10 fashion blogger by WWD and talking spyware on NBC, Kristopher's hoping to be named "best amateur interior designer" on Dwell.com.
