From the Olympic games to the Sistine Chapel. From NASA space shuttles to the Japan National Theatre. In the home and on the road, from large outdoor arenas to intimate neighborhood stores, restaurants and clubs, you can hear the realism of the most respected name in sound—Bose.

The Kanteleen kutsu fabric depicts forest animals that have, enchanted, gathered to hear the joyful tunes played on the kantele, a plucked string instrument, by Väinämöinen, the main character of the Kalevala. Väinämöinen had made his instrument from the jawbone of a giant pike. The Sampo, a wealth grinding magic mill, is featured in the impressive Taikamylly fabric. The Ihmemaa art print, sold by the repeat, shows the landscape of Kaleva, the Land of Heroes, and Lake Alue, in whose depths a whitefish has swallowed fire fallen from the heavens.

  • Public speaking
    @publicspeaking
    You may be wondering what is the big deal about public speaking, anyway? Do I have to keep my hands clamped tight and my heart rate up like some terrified martial arts expert? Why are experts always telling me to "be careful" when I think I'm going to stumble or make some grave mistake? The answer is simple - preparation. When I go to speak in front of an audience, I do my best to think like them, and to use their body language as well as possible. That's right - I am particularly concerned about my audience's body language. I study it and analyze it to see if I can use my body language to get my point across. The good news, however, is that you can easily overcome your anxiety and perform remarkably well regardless of your audience's body language. One thing you'll need to keep in mind when studying how to be confident in public speaking is that even two people who are on opposite ends of the emotional spectrum will still have some degree of emotional response to your speaking. For instance, if your audience member has a strong negative opinion of a public figure, such as your boss, politician or an athlete, he or she will likely express it through body language. This can range from mildly uncomfortable to outright disgusted. You need to be aware of this and take care not to react too strongly to it unless your goal is to disgust your audience member. In addition, even if your audience member is a lifelong friend, even if he or she has given you some grief in the past, it's still important to keep the lines of communication open at all times. If you're stage-managing a presentation or speech, especially during critical moments, it's also important to be courteous and friendly. It's not enough to have good public speaking skills; you need to be a good listener, as well, and be prepared to give thoughtful answers to any questions that may be asked of you during a presentation. People love to talk about themselves and they love to hear about their own achievements and failures. Also, make sure to tell your audience what you plan to say - in advance. Don't anticipate the question; instead, indicate what you plan to say so that the audience can be more prepared to ask questions of you later on. You may also want to include an element of surprise. Sometimes, a question that is asked at the beginning of the presentation can lead to more questions in the end. By indicating that something will be discussed in your speech, you give your audience some time to get to know you and the information that you are about to share. Another important aspect of public speaking is your posture and the way you sit. Don't lean back in your chair or rock your hips. Your posture is often called your posture of authority, and this gives the appearance that you are trying to get everyone to follow you. In fact, many people fear public speaking because they feel like they don't know enough people in order to speak in front of a crowd. If you are uncomfortable standing in front of a group of people and don't feel comfortable, your performance is going to suffer. Speak up, even if it's embarrassing. You should also listen carefully to the questions your audience asks. Even if you are familiar with most of the information your audience is asking, sometimes you will still find something new. You can use this information to guide your own answer. You also need to make eye contact with each and every audience member that you meet. Public speaking is never easy, but it does not have to ruin your life. If you are prepared, you will be able to speak in front of an audience. Also, realize that there are plenty of resources out there to help you prepare for speaking in public. You should also take advantage of these resources. As long as you practice your speaking skills, speak up and speak out, you will be alright. Web: https://paramounttraining.com.au/training/public-speaking-presentations/
  • Taking meeting in a minut courses
    @takingmeetinginaminutcourses
    Are you the type of person who takes your time with everything? Then you may want to take a Minute Taking Training course. This is a great way to learn how to get your minutes in during meetings and become an outstanding speaker. You will be surprised at how much time you are wasting when you are not sure what to do. The majority of people do not have the ability to think fast on their feet. If this describes you, then you could benefit from a training that teaches you how to speak and deliver to a crowd as if you are on stage. You will quickly see that there is a difference between speaking in front of friends and family and speaking in front of a group of business associates. If you can master speaking before an audience, you can talk all day without thinking. Imagine that you are having a small talk with your partner in the office. You both just had dinner but are really tired and don't feel like talking much longer. You grab some popcorn, grab a drink, and head for the computer. Instead of typing an article, going back and typing another article, you grab the popcorn, pop open the drink, and prepare to deliver your talk. What would happen if you were able to speak in front of a roomful of people while they ate, drank, and browsed the Internet? Would your audience sit through your entire speech? Probably not. You are probably going to need to take a couple minutes to setup, and maybe even take a few pauses. These minutes won't seem like minutes at all. However, they are going to add up because you are going to deliver a half hour, or even more, speech. You have to be able to speak without pausing. You also have to have quick words so that you don't lose your listener. That is why you have to learn how to speak with confidence, and you have to do it in less than a minute. Taking a handful of minutes away from your busy schedule will help you make time to listen. Your audience will appreciate this, and your manager will see how effective your speaker is at ensuring the best customer relations possible. A little time here and there is what separates great speakers from those that stumble through their talk. Speaking to a roomful of people can be very hard, and very fast paced. There has to be a pause between each speaker's voice to allow people to absorb what is being said. When speaking to just a couple of individuals, you may find that you're going to need to take some minutes away to let your mind wander. If you are talking to a roomful of people, you are going to find that the minutes fly by, and you might have to keep your voice straight and not think about anything else. In order to get through your entire presentation, you need to speak the whole length of the speech. Even if you have five or six minute pauses between each of your speaking ideas, you are still giving the impression that you don't want anyone to hear you. If you are talking for any longer than needed, you are only going to create an ambience of boredom in the room. Taking time to read the room and listen to what people are saying gives you a chance to know where you are in the meeting, so you can give them the information they require with a clear voice and without being distracting. The most important thing to remember about taking minutes is that you don't have to speak for the amount of time that the listener is willing to listen to. If someone asks you a question, be honest with them. Don't hold back and tell them you don't have the answer for them yet. If you don't know the answer, give them the question again, and tell them when you know the answer. They are going to be much more receptive to your answers if you hold your information close to the vest until they ask for it. Web: https://paramounttraining.com.au/training/minute-takers-training/
  • Sales skills
    @salesskills
    Here is a short guide to the top ten basic sales skills that every professional working in the sales industry should master: Sales Skills 1. Listening Sales is all about impressing the client. This does not only mean being quiet when a potential customer or lead is speaking. The key skill is active, in-depth listening. Listening skills are one of the most important aspects of generating sales revenue. Salespeople need to be skilled in active listening and understanding what motivates clients to buy from them. If you are a salesperson, you need to have the ability to understand your prospects words and actions. A sales trainer will recommend that you use a technique known as cross-selling by which you explain your product benefits in simple, understandable terms to the client. Active listening and understanding are fundamental in building strong, effective sales skills. 2. Enlisting the help of others In order to empower professionals in developing strong sales skills, you need to be able to encourage and pull others towards you. You can do this by working as a trusted advisor. As part of your sales skills training regime, you should work with a fellow professional such as a financial advisor, an account manager or a lawyer and get their help to identify sales opportunities. They may even be able to refer you to a trustworthy accountant who they know is successful in helping others develop sales skills. Another strategy for developing strong selling skills is to get outside guidance through networking. When you attend a networking event such as a lunch meeting or a small business seminar, it is important that you get the support and advice of other speakers and presenters. Your goal should be to learn from each other and from those who are successful in selling, so ask questions about what they do and the marketing strategies they employ. It is important to learn from these speakers and practitioners so that you can apply what they have learned to your own selling style. Finally, when you sit down to identify a prospect or buyer, you must be clear about what you are offering them. This is where your sales skills will come into play. If you are unable to clearly communicate what you are selling, then you will never be able to motivate a buyer or a prospect to buy your products or services. In addition to being clear about your offering, you also want to be inviting. As a salesperson, you need to be a good listener, a great communicator, a good speaker and an inspiring leader, but you should also make sure that you are coming across as being friendly, approachable and empathetic at the same time. In order to use your sales skills effectively, you also need to be aware of your weaknesses. Sometimes, a particular product or service may not be as appealing to certain groups of people as another. Don't forget that you didn't choose to sell to this group; they chose themselves! You should address any weaknesses in your selling skills before you approach a buyer. A little humility and awareness will go far in boosting your confidence and sales skills training. Another part of effective selling skills training is developing your listening skills. Good storytelling is essential if you hope to empower professionals with your products and services. When you listen, you can see how others view a particular aspect of your offering. This is particularly helpful if you are trying to explain a complicated aspect of your product or service to a customer. For example, if you are attempting to explain the advantages of using your product or service versus those offered by competitors, you can gain valuable insight by listening to them describe their experience. A third technique to improve your selling skills is to practice active listening. Some salespeople have a habit of merely typing out a response to a client's question without really listening. Others may merely glance at the sheet of paper before writing their response. By taking the time to hear what other clients are saying, you are more likely to come up with a better response. Not everyone is the same, so don't write your responses down in order of importance; in general, the more you can respond quickly and efficiently, the more your customer will be impressed. Finally, make sure to incorporate exercises and games into your sales skills training programs. The more time you spend practicing your techniques, the more comfortable you will become with applying them in real-life situations. Salespeople spend much of their day on the telephone talking with prospective clients. Wouldn't it make your life easier to give them a personalized tour of your company's products and services? • Nikki Farquharson
    @nikki_farquharson
    Hello! I'm a 24 year old freelancer based in London, England.I love colour, pattern, shapes, communincation and typography. Pens, pencils and paper are my favourite and primary medium. I also run a colourful project at: www.randomgotbeautiful.com. How would you sum up your work?My work tends to end up in a variety of outcomes as I like to showcase different ideas. They can vary from being quite simple to massively detailed. A heavy focus randomly shifts between colour, pattern and typography. I also have a passion for creating books about language and communication, in which I design and occasionally bind my own. How did you become a designer/illustrator?I've always been interested in visual messages and communication. I chose to study graphic design and ended up studying that subject for a total of six years. My degree course focused a lot on graphic and conceptual design and ideas. This was really helpful to me, but simultaneously I wanted something different so I started to draw. I found myself mostly drawing shapes and patterns. I decided to take illustration more seriously after I graduated. What is your mixed media work about?Mixed Media Girls are experimental works combining found imagery with personal illustration. A mixed media girl illustration is initially inspired by the original photograph. I change the girl's surroundings by including abstract details in bright colours and meticulous patterns. The final outcome is often playful and eclectic. I personally see the girl as either a prop to the pattern or just part of the canvas. I have always loved creating detail with lines, patterns and shapes. But later, I decided to add girls to put the patterns into context. Sometimes it is viewed as the other way round but I don't mind that. Creating mixed media work for clients is slightly different. The illustration should be secondary to the real imagery. I try to enhance the photography rather than drown it out. Describe your other work in more detail?My books are very simple conceptual ideas referring to language and communication. I'm interested in how we interact with one another and how different people have a natural and mutual understanding on simple common things. I'm always thinking about 'the next book' and like to create a series that would become available to purchase in the future. The typographic illustrations are like a bridge between my books and my abstract illustrations. I love type so I try to make it fun, playful and visually interesting, to me at least! Random Got Beautiful is an online public participatory site that I started while I was still at university. I have a fascination with other peoples random spontaneous photographs, and I wanted a way in which I could continually look at different ones but in one easy location. I decided that 'colour' would be a nice simple incentive to get others involved as it was creative but at the same time, didn't limit itself to only those who were "creatives". I wanted anybody to be able to take part. I jokingly refer to myself as a jack of all trades but a master of none, because I do many different things. A lot being on a trial-and-error type basis. What kinds of materials do you work with?I draw and colour by hand because I enjoy the process and prefer the results. I use pencils, fine liner pens and a lot of felt tips. Some mixed media work contain real imagery. The photography is either given to me or I get them from magazines. Most of the time they are literally cut and pasted on, but other times I'd add them using a computer program. How much time do you spend to complete an illustration?If there is no deadline then too much time. I’m the biggest procrastinator in the world! That is my worse habit. What inspires you?Almost everything. Things that I see, hear or randomly notice can trigger an idea for a new book or an illustration. Seeing a lot of hard work and passion displayed by other people in various design fields (art, design, sculpture, music videos etc) also inspires me to work on what I do. What advice would you share with someone who is entering the world of art and design?I'd share advice that was recently given to me. “Be prolific.” Create a lot of work and then create some more. Getting a personal site is easier than ever now. Everything has gone digital crazy. Sending a link or a pdf portfolio to people can be the perfect catalyst to get noticed. Send your work to mags, brands, studios etc and join online design communities just to get that initial ball rolling. It’s all about letting people know you exist and then the rest will hopefully come from that.
  • DamagedPhotoRestoration
    @picturerestoration
    Businessmen talk money. You can’t judge them, because they worked a lot to build their life in the way it is. The process of the opening of a new business, especially when the niche is already divided by several rivals, always coexists with risks and significant financial sums given away. Looking for the money to make the startup happen can be very difficult, especially for a young entrepreneur. This is why getting a grant or at least a loan from one or several future business partners may be your lucky chance if your business development will be mutually profitable. Damage photo restoration does not create a new beginning: this area is already filled up with both massive companies, which present themselves as the only ones, which are able of doing it well and with freelancers, who seek to make their money in offering something twice or three times cheaper than those companies. This may work for a while, but sooner or later people find out the cheap on some amateur platforms does not always stand for better in quality part. Our team has been known for several years already and we always keep our financial reports with great accuracy. We have a stable amount of new clients coming to us every month and a certain amount of the regulars, who value us and who do not go anywhere else. This means, that our studio is trusted and we do our job well. Our schedules are full with the most various image manipulation orders a company can get. We do our tasks in time, with pleasure. And the photo shooters we’ve been dealing with can tell you that our style is very flexible though careful and thoroughly detailed. When you ask someone to name the most known retouch studios, you will hear our name and this makes us proud. While we have proven our loyalties to our colleagues in the photography sphere, but still we do not wish to stop developing with things we have got. On a contrary, we dream to expand our client circles, hire a couple of talented retouchers to enlarge the staff and to make our income bigger than some may dream of. Of course, we understand that a loan is more credible for any company or a person, who volunteers to give us money because eventually they will have their money back one way or another. And have no doubt that we have resources to pay you back anytime. But with your money we can open more offices with the up-to-date equipment for our employees and make them feel comfortable in soft chairs with tea or coffee to get some stimulation. A loan is not someone dreams off, although we ensure you with our best judgment that percent you can get from us is not the biggest profit you will have, as you shall have us by your side with mutual advertisement and a lot of respect. There are no extra acquaintances when you seek for expanding your business and dream to see it rises more and more. We shall present you to our photographer colleagues, who may interest you in making photos not only for your business of any kind, but for personal matters as well. But we will not deny, that we hope to get a grant even more than a loan. A grant may consist of many things: money in cash, in check, on a card, some equipment, may be some raw materials, assistance in any kinds of way, new ideas, that are still not present on the market much. We hope to get collaboration work flawlessly with new pieces of furniture, or programs of the latest appearance, or anything else. We also have to clarify, that grant is not refundable, while loans are. But those who help us now shall get something profitable from us in the future even if we do not handle them money back right away. Contacts, colleagues, free ads, new ideas in exchange, there will be something because we know how to be grateful. Further development is often a difficult question for many enterprises, this is why we offer you to give us a helping hand now with financial question and get a helping hand in other or even in the same matter after, when you need it. We understand, that in order to do it, we must prove, that we are worthy – so google, read reviews everywhere, study our financial records – we are doing good and we are not going to stop whatever happens. Your assistance should be deserved, so study our retouch jobs and decide whether it is really good or do you think quite opposite. We know we definitely deserve attention and we know how to get if very well. If you are in need of attention in any sphere, you should come to us and we will show you the best results. Talk to us if you are not convinced – we know what our aim is and we are ready to do everything to achieve it. Let us show ourselves, help us become better and you will see how the business thrives and wins with your own eyes! Minor reliefs are also good because they let us to change the way things are at some local points, but bigger sums will let us show the world the difference between “it’s okay” retouch and the “wow” one. We know that today even government can give a grant to some company, but right now they are more concerned with society, with feminism issues and other ones like that. So think about helping us, about working with us in the future, about being one of the key persons, who builds the future they want to see. We do care for the foreign funds just as much as for the ones in our country because we have several reliable companionships across the ocean and we will gladly extend their amount. Your area doesn’t even matter, because photography and retouch are connected directly to the media and always will be of great use for everyone.
