Pulpites Lamps The Dear Human studio shares a building with a garment factory, so when the duo began playing with paper, there were plenty of cardboard dress forms and packaging material to use. Containing the kitchen, office, library, and plant room, the building can be seen as a form of a pulpit, a place to foster the owner’s life and work. A birch plywood skin wraps the mezzanine structure, linking spaces and functions.

We wanted to bring in "some" natural light into the bathroom/shower area. This was tricky since the only source of natural light for the space is the full-lite door. What we decided to do was incorporate a one way mirror which allows light to pass, but maintains privacy.
