Until Hindman and Carr moved in, the space had never been a home. Carr cooks every day, so the compact kitchen was a natural starting point for the renovation. It features an industrial curving steel counter, which also functions as a breakfast bar. The Scrap stools are by contemporary Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek.

Rug designer Nani Marquina and photographer Albert Font created their home in a peaceful corner of the Spanish island of Ibiza. The all-white kitchen/dining area features a custom worktop with integrated sink and a custom dining table on casters, both designed by Simone Subissati Architects. The faucet is by Cea and the cooktops are by Alpes Inox. Around the table are chairs by Piet Hein Eek. A Mexical pendant by Renzo Serafini hangs overhead.

Cover Architecture and EEK Studio redesigned the fireplace so it no longer obstructs the side of the window. The surround lighting creates a warm and inviting effect, even when the fireplace is not lit.
