Formerly based in the Windy City, he toured the Atrium House, located in the Buena Park neighborhood, for this issue. “The area surprised me,” he says. “Just blocks from Wrigley Field, this historic neighborhood had flown under my radar for all the years I’d been living in Chicago. It was gratifying to find something new.”

Bath time sure would be a little more fun with Patrick Rylands' much-loved Bath Toys, 1970. (Fun fact: Rylands' won the 1970 Duke of Edinburgh Design Award for these little creations). The fun bath creatures were recently reproduced, but unfortunately sold out within minutes once it hit the world wide web. Here's to hoping a second batch will soon be announced! (Pin).

Based in Chicago, writer Patrick Sisson appreciated the personal touches throughout the Hufft house, especially how the kitchen, living room, and outdoor space flowed together. “While utilizing custom fabrication certainly led to a more personalized home, it was evident that signature touches, like the framed drop cloth on the upper level, went beyond functional to speak to the family’s history and day-to-day lifestyle,” he says.
