Designer Thomas Bentzen designed the DLM Table for Danish design studio HAY to blend the necessity of a side table with the portable functionality of a tray. The DLM acronym means “Don’t Leave Me,” which is a clever call to the table’s function. The round side table features an easy-to-grab handle that comes out of the center of the table, making it easy to carry the DLM with you around the house.

The Nest Caddy is a versatile storage solution that can be used in several ways. The wood caddy can be used to store pens, pencils, jewelry, or even makeup. The caddy’s lid can be used to conceal contents, or can be flipped over to hold additional items, or can be used as a tray. The metal holder can be used as its primary function—to transport the caddy—and can also be used to hold a tablet or display an art print. The Abner Toolbox takes a necessary household accessory and makes it into a work of art. Designed by Aaron Poritz, the toolbox is crafted entirely in teak, including the comb joints that hold the box together. Although designed as a toolbox, this multi-function accessory can be used to hold paints, jewelry, and other small items needing organization.

The coffee nook was designed through our design team from our own Showroom, Cabinet Plant. This was a custom space that needed to be multifunction, place to have your morning coffee and for the kids to do their homework. This is a little refuge that was designed to be tucked away from the the rest of the home. Everything should be at arm’s reach and inspire a sense of meditative focus.

Orphism Mirrors is a series of mirrors designed by Montreal-based studio mpgmb. With its bold geometric forms, bright colors and exuberance, the Orphism collection is an ode to the Art Deco movement and Sonia Delauney’s body of work. A pastiche of many different styles, the multi-function mirrors are modern geometric abstractions which combine curvilinear forms and sharply defined outlines with a reminiscence the 20s decorative art style. In addition to their primary function, the pieces also feature a shelf and knob so it can also be used as an entry way or bedroom organizer.

The clients are a creative director involved in many food related projects, and the other a gallerist who has been introducing traditional craftsmanship of Japan. The architects aimed to create a new space where the clients could face their profession of “food” and “lifestyle”. A place where multi-functions (a gallery, tearoom, office and guest room) influence each other. For the overall design plan, the office was placed on the second floor, and a tearoom with a counter to sit six guests on the ground floor, a gallery space to exhibit pottery and everyday tools, and a guest room was created.
