Inspired by her experience growing up in the 1970s as the daughter of an interior decorator, designer Lindsey Adelman created the Tardi Sofa—smartly named because “it took a damn long time.” The sensible silhouette is punctuated by the sofa’s playful colorway, evoking an element of surprise and irreverence while adding visual intrigue to any decor.

Here's a detail shot of the stool. The leather comes in four options—black, chocolate, tobacco, and saddle—and the brightly hued backing fabric comes in ten—sky, radish, egg yolk, cream, camel, charchol, sand, mocha, chocolate, and black.

The rug is the Joelle from Lulu and Georgia, and the overhead light a Petite Friture Vertigo Pendant. “The living room is really special, especially in the early evening when the room is filled with the light coming in from the sunset,” says Alexandra. “Nothing beats a Texas sunset.” The artwork is by Alexandra’s friend.

The armrests also open up and have outlets inside. "I intentionally built the five-inch ledge behind the couches for our coffee in the morning," says Ashley. "The kids also use this ledge to play with their LEGO mini figs or their tech decks. It serves its purpose well!"
