San Francisco Decorator Showcase Dining Room
The combination of vintage, contemporary and custom furniture peacefully shares the space with the art, creating a dialogue with it but never overpowering it.
The custom floating window seat provides an excellent perch for watching the fog roll, enjoying a book, or sharing a cup of tea with a friend.
A custom teak credenza with a leather inset top provides a display space for art, and functions as a side board when a larger meal is served.
The dining table’s juxtaposition of solid brass base and charred oak top is complimented by the vintage pine dining chairs by Axel Einar Hjorth.

The beauty of the Marin Headlands, visible from the dining room’s large window, provides inspiration for his design. Artwork focuses on the alumni of the Headlands Center for the Arts Program, with pieces made in or about the region. Materials and colors connect sand, driftwood, sage, and sky.
