New Orleans Makers Set Up Shop for NYC Design Week

Two dynamic US cities collide when a monthlong pop-up featuring design from New Orleans sets up shop in New York City. For more all-American design, check out our May 2015 issue, on stands now.

The shop will also feature ceramics, fine-art prints, books, paper products, an aromatic apothecary, a men's department, jewelry, and homegoods, like Provenza Studios' cheeky "Ghosters" and wooden bud vases.

Among the textiles on offer will be handwoven scarves and towels from Loomed, who recently represented Louisiana in our 50 Reasons to Love Design Made in America roundup. Loomed co-founders Paul and Molly Babineaux are part of a handful of New Orleans designers who will be present at the shop's Meet the Designers event on May 9.
