Modern Takes on the Bay Window
The bay window can be the stuffiest of portals to the outside world, but not when the roomy floor space it creates inside is used to great effect, or when its exterior shape takes a decidedly contemporary bent.
Reigo & Bauer's facade makeover for a house in Toronto's West End updated a run-of-the-mill and rundown family home at the end of a cul-de-sac into a modern beacon. The architects modified the crumbling brick exterior with fiber cement panel boards in bright white, plus a custom balcony and entry porch in powder-coated steel and aluminum.
