Designer Profile: LucidiPevere
Italian design duo LucidiPevere made its mark on Milan in 2014 on and offsite at Salone del Internazionale del Mobile; here's a look at the pair's latest and greatest furniture and lighting.
LucidiPevere designed a new chair for the renowned Austrian bentwood manufacturers Gebrüder Thonet Vienna. The multiple s-curves in the Brezel chair's back (so called after a type of bread) are technically ambitious, but the effect is grounded with a cozy seat upholstered in Kvadrat fabric.

The Flute table by LucidiPevere for Fiam is the next prototype following the duo's Macramè coffee table, which won the company's young designers prize in 2013. The feet are structured as a U-section lending enough strength to support a weighty top, like marble.
LucidiPevere's Raphia wood-and-metal rocking chair for Casamania combines artisanal craft and industrial production.
The second iteration of the Boiacca table that LucidiPevere designed for Kristalia recasts its slim concrete silhouette with wood legs and white laminate or black Fenix-NTM top.
The Aplomb wall sconce for Foscarini has a raw concrete form that contrasts a gentle diffusion of light both upward and downward.
LucidiPevere's Gerla chair for Very Wood was inspired by the idea of a nest. The contract-appropriate seating was then recast with industrial logic as a repeating module to convey the idea of a basket ("gerla" in Italian).
The super-geometric Tool table by LucidiPevere for Debi is formed by 3D laser cutting technology; the lightweight side table comes in two heights.
