Singer Nate Ruess and Fashion Designer Charlotte Ronson List Their Swoon-Worthy NYC Pad for $3.85M
Recently listed for sale in Manhattan is the delightfully harmonious home of Nate Ruess, lead singer of the band Fun, and his partner, British fashion designer Charlotte Ronson. The couple first purchased the full-floor apartment in 2014, later deciding to treat the outdated space to a complete renovation in 2017 after moving to New York full time.
The duo turned to designer Paul Fortune for the makeover, ready for a decidedly "grown-up, uptown apartment" according to a feature in Architectural Digest shortly after the completion. The singer and designer had a long-standing friendship beginning after Ruess purchased Fortune's Los Angeles home, where the couple lived before moving to New York. "We wanted a similar vibe to Laurel Canyon, but also something right for New York," Ronson told the magazine. Up to the challenge, Fortune partnered with New York–based design firm Gachot Studios to reimagine the 2,500-square-foot space into a chic and comfortable urban oasis.
The two-bedroom residence now offers a contemporary design and free-flowing layout, with the couple's own artwork adding a personal touch to the newly reimagined spaces. Accessed from a private elevator, the main foyer leads into the light-filled living room. Steps away is a spacious chef's kitchen that has mint green cabinetry, marble countertops, and high-end appliances. A formal dining area is positioned on the opposite side of the room.
Situated in a private wing of the home are the two bedrooms. The master suite, which is over 21 feet wide, features a gas fireplace, separate seating area, and walk-in closet. A marble-clad bathroom favors a spa-like aesthetic, complete with warm wood and gold finishes. Scroll ahead to see more of the home, currently listed for $3,850,000.
