Designed in 2019, the single-story residence sits behind an electric gated entrance with a long, private driveway that winds toward the southern facade clad in Cor-Ten steel, Siberian larch, and glass. Inside, the elegant, 1,800-square-foot home features an open layout spread across one level.

At the western end of the structure, which comprises the primary living spaces, a timber-clad backdrop incorporates built-in shelving and a cozy fireplace in the lounge. Nearby, the central dining area connects to a beautifully finished Giorgetti kitchen with Miele appliances and custom titanium cabinets with burnished stainless-steel worktops.

The eastern end of the residence holds the three bedrooms. A narrow walkway with sunken planters and full-height glass walls leads first to the principal bedroom, which offers a walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom with Italian fixtures by Falper. The communal bathroom, located across the hall from the principal suite, features a micro-cement shower and a Falper stone sink and tub.

The team at Vincent & Brown also designed the residence with energy efficiency in mind, incorporating a precision-engineered timber frame with high levels of insulation, as well as a mechanical ventilation heat recovery unit to improve clean air circulation. A BioDisc treatment plant was also installed to lower running costs and allow wastewater to efficiently discharge into the local watercourse.
