Mike Jacobs is a licensed architect based in New York and California. He has designed and built numerous award-winning architectural projects, with his most recent, the San Lorenzo House, receiving the 2011 Design Honor Award from the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Mike worked as a Project Architect and designer on institutional, residential and cultural buildings in New York City. Mike was awarded the American Institute of Architects NY Lebrun Travel Grant to facilitate research in public space reclamation projects in the U.S. and Europe. His 1998 proposal for the rebirth of New York’s East River is an evolution of this work and received 2nd Prize in the Van Alen Institute’s Projects for Public Architecture.
He is a member of the AIA New York City Chapter and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
