Juli Capella was born in Barcelona in 1960. First, he wanted to be a missionary, than an inventor, but what he really would have liked to have been was a rock star. He started studying design, but then got sent off to study something "more serious," architecture. When he finished his courses he didn't get hired, so he devoted himself to putting on exhibitions and writing. He is the visionary curator behind BRAVOS.

The idea for Lagranja was born on a Pacific island in the summer of 2001. A year later, in Barcelona, Gerard Sanmartí and Gabriele Schiavon started to develop ideas and to offer visions and solutions based on a creative talent that moves effortlessly between design, architecture and temporary installations.
