    Begun in the 1940s as a family foundry business, Marset reestablished itself as a lighting company—Marset Illumiación—in 1965. The Barcelona–based organization creates innovative, clever lighting fixtures that are versatile enough to fit in private homes, hotels, restaurants, and corporations. Contemporary and refined, Marset’s lamps feature a restrained, spare aesthetic, allowing them to communicate seamlessly with modern interiors.

    Joan Gaspar is a Barcelona based designer. He studied industrial design at Artes y Oficios in Barcelona. In 1988 he started work for VAPOR S.A, manufacturing minimalist lamps. From 1992 he collaborated with a variety of firms to create new product lines: Roca, Resol, Marset, Mobles 114, Perobell, Santa&Cole, DAE, Vilagrasa, Made Design. In 2002 he opened a professional design Studio in Barcelona working with various companies on new product concepts.
  • Lluís Porqueras

    Lluís Porqueras was born in 1930 and studied various courses in architecture during his life. After his first work on restoring dwellings and country houses in l' Empordà, he founded Stoa in 1965, a pioneer Catalan design company that produced Enric Franch's lights. Although he started his career in design without much experience, he specialized in it little by little. In 1979, Porqueras founded another company, Vapor, with Jaume Vaquero. He has designed lights for renowned lighting companies, including Marset.
