There is a strong narrative running through Susan Washington's work that references her long involvement with collage, textiles and fashion. She comes from a family of artists and at 5 years old she was tutored in the art of origami and sumi ink drawing by her Japanese Godmother. She spent her teens deconstructing dressmaking as a punk fashionista. Washington then went to work in the NYC fashion industry for 15 years. Susan is a native New Yorker who lives and works in the Poconos. She shares studio space with her artist husband, Stephen. Susan's work has been exhibited internationally, with representation through the Artspace Warehouse in Los Angeles, Thomas Masters Gallery in Chicago and Susan Calloway Fine Art in Washington, DC.

Susan Morris is a senior executive who works across media in the arts and culture — print, exhibitions, public programs, film, television, digital media and radio — as writer, curator, editor-in-chief, executive producer, producer/director and consultant. Recently she worked at the Ford Foundation, Lincoln Center and International House, and wrote for Architect’s Newspaper, Design Observer and Filmmaker magazine; other clients include LTB Media (Editor-in-Chief, Modern Painters), WNYC Radio (founding Executive Producer Studio 360), NEA, BBC, NY Times TV, Conde’ Nast, Rockefeller Foundation, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and J. Paul Getty Trust.

Internationally recognized architect Susan Desko moved to Sun Valley and established her architectural practice in 2000. Her first project in Sun Valley, commonly known as "The Steel House," has become a local iconic architectural gem and was the recipient of an Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects in 2006. She received a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University in 1988, and has been a design critic at Auburn University's Rural Studio, founded by Samuel Mockbee. 27 Lake Creek Residence received an Award of Merit from the American Institute of Architects in 2010.
