Design Within Reach Jenev Bowl

Detroit natives Jerome and Evelyn Ackerman founded Jenev Design Studio ("Jenev" is a combination of their first names: "Je" and "Ev") in 1952. Jerome spent a year devising shapes, molds, and glazes, then began slip-casting and firing his creations, with Evelyn decorating some of them. The six pieces in the Jenev Collection (1953) are made with molds meticulously copied from his masters, with glazes formulated to match his signature matte finishes. Made in China.
