Young visual artist Olimpia Zagnoli, who has illustrated magazine covers for The New York Times, decorated the walls with a colorful mosaic. Her artwork is inspired by the annual amphibian migration to nearby Lake Idro.

The couple met and married in New Orleans then moved to Charleston, SC in 2018 for Michael to open Hotel Bennett as Executive Chef.  En route to Charleston, the movers detoured through Panama City Beach, FL and dropped their home's contents at storage.  When Covid-19 hospitality layoffs forced the couple to regroup, they joined the Great Migration and fled to Florida.

Amsterdam-based studio FormaFantasma presented Migration, a needlepoint rug from their collection they created for Nodus. The studio, headed up by Italian designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, is known for highly articulated works that marry craft and industry. The trio of rugs were inspired by ornithologist James Audubon, and each depicts a large-scale bird in flight. The rugs are wool, and feature oak buttons.
