Church at St. John’s Abbey (Collegeville, Minnesota, 1961) In 1950, Abbot Baldwin Dworschak solicited forward-thinking designs from leading architects to remake his Minnesota church and create a monument to the service of God. Breuer answered the call. There's a certain majesty to the bell tower greeting the faithful, a massive panel supported by a curvaceous stand. The family room contains furniture reminiscent of Ligne Roset’s Togo collection and a CH 07 egg-carton lamp by Salvadoran designer Eugenio Menjívar.

We started with this art , my client says this painting is from Aktau ( a city in western Kazakhstan ) , her family owned it for many years, while they were living in Aktau , she recalls this time as a very happy one. My husband is also from Aktau, so this painting became so close and personal to me, and I realized this is the best starting point. The armchair and storage are legacy from grandmother

For the seating area, the couple selected a Charles sofa by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia in addition to CH07 Shell chairs by Hans Wegner, a PK61 coffee table by Poul Kjærholm, and a Nesta rug from Design Within Reach. The dining table, an original design by Burnette, is surrounded by stools that belonged to a previous owner.

My sources of inspiration ultimately led to the kitchen concept. 
The work of Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi guided my thinking: his search for essence (expressed through pure lines and elemental forms ) resonated deeply with my approach. 
It was the spark behind this moodboard and the soul of the space.
