Half-offset, interconnected stacked rooms are spread over the interior volume, and doors to the property’s two floating terraces can be opened to connect the interiors with the outdoors.

The apartment enjoys plenty of natural light thanks to numerous outdoor spaces—including a 33-foot-long balcony garden to the north, and two terraces to the south that are accessible via the bedroom and the dining area.

The leftmost cabinet above the Duravit bathtub (equipped with KWC fixtures) occupies the space where a doorway once lead into the living room, creating unnecessary traffic from the home’s public spaces through to the master bedroom.The new bathroom features a minimal palette of white and teak. “It’s able to hold up on boat decks so is good for a bathroom,” Klug says.
