Through the holiday season, the San Francisco menswear shop Maas & Stacks is hosting a pop-up gift shop curated by Larry Schaffer (in the glasses and vest) of the LA design shop OK Gallery. Quite a good crowd turned out for the opening party on November 17th.

Fern & Roby's furniture combines modern finishes with a reverence for the history of American industry. The base of this kitchen island is a reproduction of legs from a salvaged 19th-century kick press machine, which the designers had cast at OK Foundry, a fourth-generation owned family business located four blocks from the Tektonics studio.

To soften the concrete floors we have a large felt rug from Peace Industry, designed by Melina Rassnia. The 1-inch-thick felt rug was handcrafted in Turkey in the tradition of ancient nomadic tribes of Central Asia, which Peace Industry is helping revitalize. They also made the pouf for OK. A hemp blanket from Heather Heron for Environment is draped over the couch.

Anna: Carrie The Musical Stephen King was all I read in my youth and I'm a HUGE fan of horror movies. Musicals are ok, but a musical like this one..YES please! San Francisco's Ray of Light Theatre is presenting Carrie The Musical this fall at Victoria Theatre. I'm totally getting my prom dress out of storage…it's so ON!
