At first glance, Haptic Lab’s City Map Quilts looks like an expanse of soft white. A closer look reveals intricate stitching, yielding a touch-worthy surface that encompasses the map of famous cities, from Chicago (pictured here) to Paris. "My first quilted maps were meant to be wayfinding tools for the visually impaired," Fischer says. The Flag Tote Bag was designed by Alyson Fox in a collaboration with L.A. design studio TOUCH, marrying a classic tote bag with a bold print. Fox’s eye-catching print still maintains a minimalist slant, making the tote adaptable to a variety of occasions and outfits. The Flag Tote Bag has two expandable pockets with an inside section that allows you to fit a newspaper or umbrella, making the bag an excellent commute bag. A 1959 advertisement for the Lounge set emphasizes its comfort.
