The vaults were scraped free of paint to reveal vestiges of their original color, and the walls covered in limewash paint. A painting by Victor Payares hangs over the vintage 1970s Nuvolone couch from Rino Maturi for Mimo Padova, which has been reupholstered. The two chairs are Alky from Giancarlo Piretti, also from the 70s, and sit with a vintage B&B Italia coffee table.

The team leveled the floors and brought the stairs up to code. A NextGen-Fyre wood stove by Lopi feels much more appropriate for the room’s proportions.

The living area’s glass walls open up to the outdoors, blurring the line between interior and exterior spaces. Within the walls, the dining area features an oval table and chairs by Cherner Chair Company. A Stamen Pendant that was designed by Jeremy Pyles for Niche Modern hangs overhead.

Utterly by chance we ran into Jeremy Pyles of Niche Modern, a lamp company based out of Beacon, New York. Pyles was down to work on a bit of development on new products for Niche. These are some of their results.

Luxe Carafe by Jeremy Pyles for Niche Modern, $145 Handblown curves and smoked glass options make this carafe, and its lid that can double as cup, a no-brainer for outdoor entertaining.

Pharos Designer Jeremy Pyles appreciates the transparency of a blown-glass shade, which allows the filament bulb a chance to shine. Pharos emits a warm glow despite its cool, clear exterior.
