Here's Mack's mild steel X-Ray chandelier, a steampunk-ish light fixture that has something of a mad scientist vibe. It looked great at night, all lit up.

Original Interior Finish The owner is a 20ish female, whose parents will come over sometimes. She wants an overall higher quality of living conditions and level of comfort but to control the budget and avoid changing the interior finish. After rounds of discussions, minimizing the adjustments to the plans, we decided to refine and reintegrate the interior space by prefabricating.

PARSONS DESK The compact Parsons is ideal for a small apartment: Its shallow depth hugs the wall, and since it doesn’t look overbearingly desk-ish it can double as a console table or even a bar. If you need the piece further scaled down, there’s also a mini version that’s 18 inches shorter.

"This technology is also used on the international space station," Koenig says. "Blue-ish hues are emitted in the morning, and amber tones are emitted at night. Honda worked with researchers from the California Lighting Technology Center at UC Davis to explore the circadian color control logic."

When everyone gets together, it becomes a madhouse, but the home is built to handle it. “The house plays two sides,” says Monti, “It becomes very formal, clean and cocktail party-ish, but at the same time when the grandchildren and my parents are in town, it’s toys everywhere and kids having fun, yelling at the top of their lungs.”
