David Roach commissioned a group of friends from GO'C Studio and Wild Tree Woodworks to rebuild his petite Seattle ‘houseboat.’ The living room has custom white oak cabinetry and a sleeper sofa designed by GO’C. Sliding glass doors lead to a small deck to drink coffee, or access the water.

Charmed by the life aquatic, a physician tasked GO'C to create a 618-square-foot floating home with three decks, a full kitchen, and storage galore.

Embracing a spa-like aesthetic, goC finished the walls of the steam shower with Venetian plaster, which the homeowners find easier to maintain than traditional tile.

The primary bathroom features a large, walk-in steam shower finished in Venetian plaster. The architects at goC punched a light well in the corner to bring more natural light into the space.

Keeping things simple, goC opted for a material palette that would feel light and contemporary, but embraced details—such as the ribbed pattern on the cabinetry—that would be a subtle nod to midcentury design motifs.

The homeowners, Lindsey and Michael Pearsall, wanted to update the interiors of their 1959 home, while also paying respects to its midcentury design. Architecture studio goC looked to original details, such as the lines of the exterior brick screens, for inspiration.
