The warm industrial kitchen celebrates views of Rocky Mountain National Park beyond. A see-through, steel fireplace becomes a glowing beacon that warms the kitchen and living room at the heart of the home.
Designed by London-based practice RUSSIAN FOR FISH, this remodeled Victorian home has an almost completely yellow kitchen. Being in this space feels like being immersed in bright sunlight.

Inside, the custom-built casework and splashes of blue and red stand out. Jurkovič designed a central "service box" on the ground floor, so open space wraps around the plywood-encased core which contains the kitchen, bathroom, toilet, stairs, and storage.
Designer and writer Lynne Knowlton revamped her 1976 Airstream with a girly edge -- without once using any lace or pink. By consistently using brushed gold hardware, tufted blue seating (which even appears to be original!), and casually-thrown fringed blankets, the space is packed with effortless personality. Light-colored wide plank flooring and white paint keep the space light and airy.

The kitchen is seriously hacked IKEA with Semi-handmade door and drawer fronts. The backsplash is Fossil porcelain tile from Refin and the counter is porcelain tile which resembles reclaimed concrete.

The over-scale pivoting front entry door crafted from VG white pine planks 3″ thick, sourced from a previous century farmers co-op building in eastern Washington.  The door locks and unlocks with the touch of your smart phone.
