When we first arrived at the site, we immediately noticed that there were practically no right angles between the walls. All the walls had angles greater than 90 degrees. This was the biggest challenge, as our task was to redesign a one-room apartment with two windows in such a way that it included a separate bedroom with a bed, a living room for watching movies, a kitchen with a dining table, a full wardrobe for storing clothes, and a bathroom with a bathtub, equipped with both a washing machine and a dryer. By smartly organizing the space, we managed to accommodate all the client's wishes and fit everything necessary into 40 square meters.

The glass partition separates the communal space from the private sleeping area — the bedroom. The partition is adorned with sheer tulle, adding lightness and ambiance. I really wanted to convey a sense of being on vacation in the space, evoking feelings of ease, freshness, and carefreeness. The partition was custom-made.

We separated the bedroom from the living room with a wall, creating harmonious spaces with right angles. A glass partition divides the private and common areas, giving the interior a sense of lightness and airiness without making it feel cluttered.

A particularly striking detail in the interior is the clay kvass jug made using traditional techniques. It was a housewarming gift from the client's friends.

The absolute favorite elements in the interior are the bedroom light fixtures. They diffuse light very softly, and through the small openings, the light creates a beautiful pattern on the wall.

The owner of this Kyiv apartment is a young woman with exquisite taste and a keen sense of aesthetics. She dreamed of a light and cozy space that would always be pleasant to return to. From the very first meeting with OHome Design Bureau, she set a clear goal for the project authors: a bright home in Scandinavian style. This is why the design team chose the "Scandinavian" style, blending it with modern solutions and Ukrainian craftsmanship in designing the 40 square meter space.

During the design phase, the interior designers faced a key challenge: to reconfigure the space, which previously lacked straight angles, and make it comfortable for living.

The apartment is small, so we chose a light and airy color palette for the space. Beige and gray tones, the client's favorite colors, dominate the interior.
