The Orion House

We began the project on Ha'Rakefet Street by searching for the meaning of what a home is and what it means to us. We've talked about a sense of security, peace, warmth, and calmness that allows whoever comes in to "feel at home."
We've searched for modesty along with high quality, and there is nothing extravagant about this house. It is made with care and attention to details, and its proportions create a sense of intimacy and warmth.
The finishing materials in the house are a combination of nostalgia, personal memories, and minimalism, creating visual tranquility and contrast to the garden, which is filled with diverse vegetation and full of colors and textures (and tempting scents).
Most of all, first and foremost, it is a house for people and especially one brilliant and witty homeowner with admirable patience who became an active partner in the design, even if he didn't intend to. Together we managed to refine the various spaces spaces and transitions into which contain within them changing moods and different atmospheres.
