An ER nurse in wine country CA, I converted/expanded a workshop on my property so my daughter could live there after finishing RN school. I had a contractor do the addition of 200sq ft so the unit would be about 850sq ft. I worked to maximize storage, function and design/character. I did a majority of the work myself from the sheet rock in including hardwood floor, trim, door installation, building closet systems from scratch, some shiplap installation, all Sheetrock, mini splits, caulking/painting/staining walls and shiplap (excluding kitchen & tile work) to keep budget cost to about $300,000
