Located on a corner lot in Los Altos, this modern two-story home with a full basement combines clean, geometric lines with practical, sustainable design. The exterior features a durable mix of standing-seam metal roofing, brick veneer, and smooth stucco, complemented by deep eaves and covered porches that provide shade and usable outdoor spaces.
At the heart of the home is a double-height living and entry space with floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing in natural light and promoting ventilation. A glass-railed bridge on the second floor connects private bedroom spaces while maintaining openness. To reduce the building’s visual mass, the upper floor is stepped back, creating terraces that enhance the connection to the outdoors.

Sustainability is integrated throughout, with high-performance windows, solar panels, energy-efficient lighting and mechanical systems, and water-saving features like water efficient landscaping. At the rear, a covered porch leads to a pool and pool house, designed to complement the home’s focus on outdoor living and environmental responsibility.

This home demonstrates a balanced approach to modern architecture, blending thoughtful design with sustainability and functionality.
