Storage-Savvy Apartment Renovation in NYC

The homeowners, who are avid cooks, worked with a design duo and contractor for the home's renovation. To make the kitchen seem larger than it is, the team decided to place the largest cabinets and appliances near the entryway, making less clutter toward the window.

An unremarkable, 1,400-square-foot apartment on New York's Upper East Side received a complete overhaul from Sweeten, a service that pairs users in need of a renovation with architects, interior designers, and contractors. The update, by Glickman Schlesinger Architects, introduced a clean, modern aesthetic to the formerly haphazard space.
