The original inspiration for this mountainside estate was a rustic hunting lodge style, but as the design process began on this detached guest house remodel, the idea quickly morphed, and the project was instead inspired by the eclectic speakeasies and industrial factory controls of the early 1920s.
The kitchen especially incorporates industrial details. The steel island pendants, custom hood, and copper kitchen details specifically draw design elements from the historical era. The bar area and game room host a variety of antique home accessories. From mismatched brass vintage candlesticks to the decommissioned, pre-civil war percussion muskets and everything in between, the collected accessories in this space are another wonderful ode to the early 19th-century style. The bedrooms and living room feature unique color palettes, layered patterns, and rustic millwork - Incorporating elements from the natural wooded landscape surrounding the hundred-acre mountain property.
