SF BAY | HILLSIDE HOUSE

Occupying a six acre hillside parcel, constrained by access and local regulation, the Hillside House unfolds vertically down the hill. The structure cuts itself into the hill and allows for access from the top while concealing its mass from the street. The middle level becomes the public zone, cantilevering it’s glassy corner into the canopy of an ancient coastal oak. It’s primarily dark, wooden skin allows it to recede into the forest.
