This is an apartment located in an upscale neighborhood of Porto Alegre, Moinhos de Vento.
Originally built in 1991, the building has one apartment per level, whose 350 Sqm floor plan is full of divisions, thus comprising very compartmentalized apartments.
The electrical and hydraulic installations were completely redone, just as the air conditioning system, which was previously central, with ducts over the ceiling, and now converted to a mixed system, consisting of built-in units and single-way ceiling splits.
The original internal division was mostly maintained, though the internal surfaces were all remade. The existing natural wood flooring was renewed in the living and intimate areas, but replaced with travertine marble in the internal circulation core.
The joinery was made entirely in white, in order to provide as much lightness as possible, as well as clarity, as the property is located below the crowns of the adjacent trees, resulting in plenty of shade.
The furniture was carefully selected to add color and warmth to the spaces, which is also achieved by the specified carpets and curtains.
The result is a sophisticated and timeless apartment, but also cozy and comfortable to live in.
