Besides being palatial, peaceful, dramatic, serene, and welcoming, the exquisite villa features panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, and Santa Ynez Mountains. But magical sunsets are just the beginning. This one-of-a-kind property’s rich history reads like a movie script, starting with the man who built it back in the 1920s, Albert Isham.

The young bachelor, who was known for throwing roaring 20s parties for Hollywood starlets, famously drove his Duesenberg convertible into the indoor swimming pool. (Speaking of the pool, this enclave’s pool house was designed in 1927 by architect George Washington Smith). The parties ended when Isham’s heart was broken. But the property was restored later by a Bakersfield oilman and has undergone several transformations since then to become the lavish California beach villa it is today.
